PRP Treatment
PRP stands for platelet rich plasma and has been successfully used in surgery for years to accelerate wound healing with the patient’s own blood. A small quantity of blood is taken from the patient and centrifuged. The result is a suspension with a highly concentrated percentage of thrombocytes that contain the information for the formation of new tissue. This is particularly helpful for larger wounds.
